Art Legacy and Texas Concert Opera Collective are excited to collaborate on this event as a tribute to the Missions of San Antonio, Texas, on the occasion of the 300 years of foundation of San Antonio. Throughout this event guest will understand how the creation of Missions fostered the mixture traditions and culture in San Antonio, resulting in a rich cultural legacy that can be observed in people, natural landscapes, constructions, names of places, languages, culinary diversity, music and arts in Texas.

“The idea is to have a complete immersion of the senses by seeing beautiful art with these amazing colors, tasting food that melts in your mouth all while sampling some the most beautiful music ever written. I can’t think of any better way to spend and evening!” says Cisneros. “It’s also an incredible value when you consider what you might expect to pay if you choose to enjoy an evening like this a la carte,” Cortes adds. Texas Concert Opera Collective is a non-profit organization of 20 professional regional opera singers dedicated to developing audiences of the future by offering free performances to all students between Austin and San Antonio. The organization is unique in that its members collectively choose the repertoire performed each season and choose the roles that they perform. By partnering with Seguin Independent School District to bring the art form to students on a regular basis, they are also able to bring in established professionals in the industry to work one on one with students in masterclasses as well as offer scholarship and audition opportunities that they would not otherwise have. All proceeds from the event go to fund TCOC’s upcoming production of Amahl and the Night Visitors in December.

“With both of our organizations being so devoted and passionate about developing the arts in the area and supporting local talent, it was a no-brainer collaboration! And we can’t wait to bring this amazing experience to the community!” says Cortes.
